Valerie Capps is in her thirteenth year in public education. She has taught at Cleveland High School since she began. She graduated from Bryan College in 2004 magna cum laude with a B.S. degree in Mathematics Secondary Education. She received her M.Ed. degree in Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University in 2009 and her Ed.S. degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Lincoln Memorial University in 2011. She has been an adjunct professor of mathematics at Lee University since 2014. She was also a math tutor for Sylvan Learning Center.
Mrs. Capps has been teaching at Cleveland High School for 13 years, where she currently teaches Pre Calculus Honors and Algebra 2. She has served on numerous committees and organizations, and she has coached three different sports during her tenure there. She is the chapter sponsor for the National Honor Society and chair of the Prom Committee.
